See...I wouldn't be upset about the "lack of return on my time" because you also got a workout by doing these orders which will make you more attractive and prolong your life. I would look at it like: I just got paid such and such for working out. 😃

It's easier when you're in an urban city with bike infrastructure or slow traffic. Here, bike lanes don't even exist. You have to ride on the sidewalks, which have pedestrians and are full of huge cracks.

Ive worked for Door Dash for about 4 years with about 1,200 deliveries and have had three really unusual deliveries. 1) I had a order and before I got to her restaurant; she sent me a message that said in effect’ If her order wasn’t hot when I got it , she would report me ‘ . I immediately canceled her order and reported her to Door Dash. 2) I had a order going to a less than desirable part of town. I started walking to the delivery address and a man walked up to me and said “ yea that’s my order “. I was a bit skeptical so I asked him “ What’s the name on the order “? He responded with “ Give me my f@($!?g food “! He attempted to snatch the red bag out away from me . I just moved around him and went to the address. He attempted to assault me over food. WTH is wrong with people ? 3) I had or order going to a address downtown. The problem was that I couldn’t find the address. I kept texting the customer with no response. I looked for about 20 minutes for this address but it didn’t exist. When I was about to call Door Dash support, the customer finally responded insisting that he was at the address. I told him that he can’t be. He told me that he’s next to a gas station. I informed him that there are no gas stations around here. He suddenly realized that he wasn’t in his home city. There is another city in the next county over with a same named street and he lived there. He came here and happened to be on the street with the same name as his street. He gave me the real address and it was about 3 blocks away Overall, food delivery isn’t a bad job. Most people are good. I’ve really helped out some people who were in a bad situation such medical issues or a house full of children. I’m not really interested in the money since I have lots coming in from retirement and investments. Door Dash is a good excuse to get out of the house.

I was thinking of biking it during spring only bc I sweat easily during hot summer and need the exercise but Brompton is so expensive now and theft and accident prone and acclimated weather?

Is it only worth doing if you’re in a downtown area? I feel like in a regular town you’d be competing with car deliveries.

Crazy how this guy can make 100$ on a bike, I’ve struggled to make 100$ in a whole day in a car.

Yesterday was so cold in the 30s, and I was delivering on my bike. My dad got me an Ebike, and it had a USB port that charges my phone while I ride with peddle assist.

Yesterday, when I was doing, Uber Eats on a bicycle in very high winds up to 30 malls per hour. A lady didn't believe that I was on a bike, and I was in the Chick-fil-A waiting on her order as she was texting me why I was not at her place yet. I explained that the place was busy and that I was waiting for her order. I then confirmed the order and proceeded to bike to her apartment complex. She was waiting outside. When she saw me on a bike. She apologized and said that many times, the app shows a bike when people are really in cars. I got an extra tip for that later on in the app.

This is my personal opinion. I think both the apps know what you're doing on both apps. For example uber eats no when you're probably getting ordered from door dash. The reason why came up with this example is because I noticed when. Get On a ride sharing app like Uber or lyft. I noticed the prices tend to be very high in the morning sometimes. As soon as I choose lyft and I check on Uber. I know it's the price go down.. Which basically means they know what you're doing on each app. I think the same thing go for Uber Eats and doordash. I feel like Uber knows when you get an order on doordash. So they automatically start sending you good deals and orders. The whole thing sounds complicated. But I hope you understand.

You can take orders from both on bike. Just make sure they're going in the same direction.
